A Snippet of the Teenage Life

“Mom, I’m going to go watch The Office.”
“What?”
“I said I’m going to go watch—”
“What?”
“I’m going to—”
“I'm in the living room, I can’t hear you. Watch what?”
“The—”
“What?”
“THE OFFICE!”
“What about the office?”
“I’m going to go watch it.”
“Watch what?”
“The Office!”
“What?”
“Mom!”
“Why in the world would you go watch my office?"
“Mom. It’s a TV show.”
“What is?”
“The Office! On NBC!”
“Is it that one show with that obnoxious Steve Carell?”
“…yeah.”
“Oh.”
“Anyway, I’m going to go watch it now.”
"How long is it going to be?"
"Maybe half an hour."
“It’s going to be passed ten, honey. You have to go to sleep. You have school tomorrow!”
“But Mom—”
“No buts! Go to sleep or you’re grounded from TV!”
“Yes ma’am.”

A day in the life of a teenager.
